Shop by colour 🎨

Are you looking for a particular colour for a mending project? Or maybe you have a favourite colour and want everything available in that colour. (I see you, purple people!)

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with colour. And I love helping customers to find a good colour match, or choose a colour palette. It's one of my favourite parts of the job!

Matching real-life colours to a computer screen is by no means perfect, but colour filters can really help you narrow down your search.

To shop by colour:

  1. Browse any collection of products in the shop
    e.g. All products A-Z
    e.g. mending yarn / mending wool
    e.g. sewing thread
  2. Select 'Colour' from the left sidebar, and a list of colour names and swatches will drop down.
  3. Click on a colour to view products available in that colour.

  4. Click on a product image to purchase or get more information; the filtered colour you chose will be selected automatically.

Notes:

Colour filters are a starting point. Some products have multiple options assigned to one colour, but the filter will only show you one. (Laine Saint-Pierre mending wool has – dare I say it – too many greens and browns to categorise.) Click on a product to see its full colour range.

The filters work best when you select one colour name at a time. Although you can select more than one colour, you will only be shown one option per product within your chosen colour group. (Click again on a colour name to deselect it.)

I assign colour categories to products based on how they appear in person (with my best task light), not in photographs.

I've taken an artistic approach, not a scientific one. If a colour makes me think of ketchup, it is ketchup! I have not colour-matched my yarn and thread to actual ketchup. Yet.
