Got moth holes? Why not embroider beautiful moths over them and beat those pesky critters at their own game?
These embroidery transfers are printed on sticky water-soluble stabiliser, making them super easy to use and great for knitwear, T-shirts, jeans, or whatever needs a bit of zhuzhing. Stick on and wash off!
Even thick, fuzzy fabrics like felt and terry towelling (usually challenging to embroider) can be mended beautifully with these transfers.
To use: apply your transfer like a sticker, centreing it over a hole. Stitch through the transfer and fabric, then rinse off the remaining transfer and let dry. Voila!
This set includes 7 moths (one of each design), basic instructions, tips and a stitch guide. Moth transfers are larger and more beautiful than actual moths and range from 2x4cm to 4.5x6cm in size. They would look amazing stitched with Cottage Garden Threads hand-dyed embroidery thread or Mend it upcycled mending yarn.
Set does not include thread or needles; add stitching supplies to your order and get stitching right away.
Made in Bellingham, Washington, U.S.A., from paper and water-soluble stabiliser, packaged in a clear compostable sleeve by the artist.
Slow mode
This shop is in slow mode so I can do alllll the things – including running this shop and running after two tiny tots – and enjoy my life. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
I'm currently dispatching orders once a week; place your order by 5pm Thursday Melbourne time (AEST) for dispatch by Monday.
(NOTE: I drop off most orders at my local post office on Fridays, but I'm told they don't physically leave the post office and start making their way to you until Monday.)
If you select Express Post at checkout, it will speed up Australia Post's delivery timeframe but won't speed up my process.
After your order has been packed, you will receive an email notification with your Australia Post tracking number, which you can use to check on the delivery status of your order.
Local delivery
Customers in Northcote, Thornbury and nearby suburbs (subject to capacity) can select local delivery at checkout. Local delivery is extra-slow and coincides with my pram-walking/kid-wrangling schedule, up to one week after purchase. ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶
