Wool fleece is puffy, fluffy wool that has been scoured (cleaned) but not spun into yarn – perfect for needle-felting repairs. Corriedale wool fleece (30 micron) is coarser than merino and sticks to itself more readily, making it easier to felt with.
I’ve chosen a dozen delicious colours for the Modern Mending fleece range, so it seemed natural to package them in preloved egg cartons. If you select the dozen you’ll get all 12 colours and have enough wool fleece to last you years. For the half-dozen, pick six colours and leave a note at checkout. Each fleece ‘egg’ weighs just under 3g.
This product is 100% wool* produced and processed in New Zealand from New Zealand Corriedale sheep that have been well cared for and not mulesed. It is packaged in repurposed egg cartons collected from my friends and neighbours and is available until I run out of egg cartons.
Want to see how it’s done? Modern Mending the book includes more than 20 pages of detailed needle-felting instructions, tips and inspiration.
* Tiny chickens not included.
** modernmending.com will not be held responsible if tiny chickens hatch from wool 'eggs' in transit (#sorrynotsorry).
