Great needles, cute packaging!

So sharp but great fun

I’ve never done needle felting before. These needles are fabulous! Love love LOVE the little packets made from a sheet of music. I managed to break one quickly because of my over enthusiasm. Can’t believe I’ve spent my lifetime sewing and didn’t know about needle felting!

Lots of fun!

You can have great fun poking wool fluff onto wool
I loved ELF's packaging too

Felting needles have tiny notches that allow you to sculpt patches from wool fleece, using friction.

These size 38 triangular-blade needles are perfect for most needle-felting mending projects and great for beginners.

Felting needles are essential for needle felting, but I haven't been able to find any without plastic packaging, so I've purchased in bulk and made my own packaging instead. The envelopes are handmade from preloved paper (it's a lucky dip - you might get sheet music or old street-directory paper, for example) and the needles are inserted in preloved cardboard for safety when shipping.

Each envelope contains five needles.

NOTE: felting needles are extremely sharp. Please keep out of reach of young children, exercise care when using them and store them in a suitable container when you're not using them.

Made in Germany and packaged in Australia (by me) in reused paper and cardboard.

Needle felting, aka dry felting, transforms wool fibres into felt. Want to see how it’s done? Modern Mending the book includes more than 20 pages of detailed needle-felting instructions, tips and inspiration.

Slow mode

This shop is in slow mode so I can do alllll the things – including running this shop and running after two tiny tots – and enjoy my life. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

I'm currently dispatching orders once a week; place your order by 5pm Thursday Melbourne time (AEST) for dispatch by Monday.
(NOTE: I drop off most orders at my local post office on Fridays, but I'm told they don't physically leave the post office and start making their way to you until Monday.)

If you select Express Post at checkout, it will speed up Australia Post's delivery timeframe but won't speed up my process.

After your order has been packed, you will receive an email notification with your Australia Post tracking number, which you can use to check on the delivery status of your order.

Local delivery

Customers in Northcote, Thornbury and nearby suburbs (subject to capacity) can select local delivery at checkout. Local delivery is extra-slow and coincides with my pram-walking/kid-wrangling schedule, up to one week after purchase. ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶
